On Tuesday, February 4th at 6:00 PM, residents of Oak Ridge are invited to the table to share hearts and stories of togetherness. In what will mostly likely be a divisive year of national politics, we want to join side-by-side in fellowship and community to affirm that although we are each different in very many ways, Oak Ridge is still committed to being one unified community. No matter our heritage, religious beliefs, political leanings, or economic status, Oak Ridgers believe we can accomplish more together and that we have much common ground to share if only we take the time listen to one another.
This is a GREAT way to kick off Black History Month and Interfaith Harmony month as we feed body, mind, and soul as one community.
The Community Unity Winter Supper is free and open to everyone. It is a wonderful chance to interact with friends and neighbors we wouldn’t normally see, and to get to know one another by sharing a meal. The supper is designed to create a safe space to share the wonderful message with the rest of the world: “No matter what the headlines may read around the country, UNITY will always be important in Oak Ridge!”
The Community Unity Winter Supper will be held at the Historic Grove Theater in Oak Ridge, which is located at 123 Randolph Road. Food choices will consist of soup, salad, and bread. Vegetarian and Gluten-Free options will be available.
Because space may be limited, we ask that all participants RSVP by clicking on the green button below. We hope to see you on February 4th!
