A monthly email will go out to ORMA on the 2nd Tuesday of the month with announcements approved by ORMA officers in an effort to limit the amount of emails we receive from ORMA. Please submit announcement requests at least the week before that Tuesday.
Detective Wendy Zolkowski from the ORPD shared an excellent presentation about Elder Abuse nationwide and our collective power to make a difference in protecting our senior communities in Oak Ridge. If any need to report to Adult Protective Services, their number is (888) 277-8366.
Brian Scott then gave an update on the new ORMA website David is working on: ormaoakridge.com
Brian mentioned the new year that was approaching and that we needed a secretary; if asked, please consider saying yes.
Kimberly Montierth and Rebecca Bowman gave an update on the Interfaith Month in February 2020. Some dates are already set, and they are looking for local faith communities to get involved.
Following that, several members announced upcoming events. Gay Marie mentioned Church Women United on Nov. 4 at St. Stephens would hear a presentation about the all-inclusive park being constructed in the Scarboro Community.
The Threshold Choir sang two selections including “River of Grace.”
Carolyn Dipboye voiced our closing prayer, and we dismissed.
